Thanks to the generosity of our supporters, The Hawn Foundation has made great strides in the last few years by:

• Developing and improving the MindUP™ curriculum to reflect current research and implementation feedback from educators; 
• Training over 1,000 MindUP™ educators in the United States and Canada; 
• Implementing MindUP™ in hundreds of schools through the effort and dedication of teachers and school leaders; 
• Bringing critical social and emotional skills to more than 25,000 children;
• Sponsoring research projects in partnership with university faculty.

We still have much more work to do. In the next few years, the Foundation’s efforts will focus on:

• Adapt the MindUP™ program for use in:
  • Children’s hospitals;
  • Youth services organizations;
  • Centers for abused and special needs children;
• Research focused on the effectiveness and efficacy of mindful education and MindUP™;
• Implement MindUP™ in schools throughout North America;
• Develop outreach programs for parents, families and community centers;
• Extend the MindUP™ program for high school students;
• Develop learning opportunities for aspiring teachers enrolled in college and university.
